Jonah Freeman, Justin Lowe and Jennifer Herrema presented Scenario In The Shade, a project based off a book of amateur ethnographic studies on the youth subcultures of Southern California. The collection, compiled and edited by journalist Elizabeth Stone, is a tour through 150 years of marginalized and often dissenting groups. Behaviors, patterns and power structures are chronicled in a collage of unconstructed data, half finished studies and, in certain cases, pure fiction.
